GOJI BERRIES

    Grassi totali 5,7 g
    Grassi saturi 1,1 g
    Proteine 10,6 g
    Carboidrati 21 g
    Zuccheri 17,3 g
    Sodio 24 mg
    Calcio 112,5 mg
    Ferro 8,4 mg
    Fibre crude 7,70 g
    Vitamina C 306 mg
    Carotene 7,38 mg
    Amminoacidi 8,48 mg
    Vitamina B1 0,15 mg
    Polisaccaridi 46,5 mg

Vedremo...

Goji berries.
How many times we have heard perhaps, without really knowing what it is. Well, I decided to do a search and read various articles to better understand what they are.
Let's see what it is then!
The name was created in 1973 GOJI dall'etnobotanico North American Bradley Dobos. These berries grow wild in the Himalayan valleys, Mongolia, Tibet and China in the provinces of Xinjiang and Ningxia. Are cultivated for thousands of years and are considered an essential element in traditional Chinese medicine.
Two species: the Lycium barbarum and Lycium chinense, both of the Solanaceae family (which includes among others the potato, tomato, eggplant, tobacco, chilli and Belladonna).
These fruits are a concentrated absolute portentous of soil characteristics on which to grow and a complete nutritional source for the human body, rich in nutrients such as vitamins C and E and minerals from the known properties.

Vitamins C and E protect against free radicals and oxidative stress (anti-aging). Copper, iron, phosphorus and manganese help regulate energy metabolism.
With a powerful concentration of potassium and magnesium help to increase muscular endurance.

The winning combination of zinc and chromium activates the metabolism of macronutrients offering a valuable aid in the diets.

In a single berry are enclosed all the major macro and micro nutrients: carbohydrates (effective as reinforcement and support of the immune system), proteins, lipids (including Omega 3 and Omega 6) and germanium, a powerful antioxidant useful to protect the body case of radiation and adjuvant for rheumatoid arthritis, allergies and hypertension.

Some of the main substances contained in berries:

     betaine
     Beta-sitosterol
     cyperone
     germanium
     Solavetivone
     Fisalina
     zeaxanthin
     lutein

The leaves of the plant are rich in flavonoids, in particular rutin, but the fruits containing these substances only in a much reduced.

100 grams of product contain:

     Total Fat 5.7 g
     Saturated fat 1.1 g
     Protein 10.6 g
     Carbohydrates 21 g
     Sugars 17.3 g
     Sodium 24 mg
     Calcium 112.5 mg
     Iron 8.4 mg
     Crude fiber 7.70 g
     Vitamin C 306 mg
     Carotene 7.38 mg
     Amino 8.48 mg
     0.15 mg vitamin B1
     Polysaccharides 46.5 mg

I decided to try them.
How they are?
They are dried, in a plastic tray, they are a great snack: added to yogurt, or in tea, in cakes, biscuits.
I have found them in the supermarket but you can find them in herbal shops.
I wonder if they are so phenomenal as they say.

We will see ...
